The Westpac Perfect Plot Competition engaged with Westpac's Facebook audience by asking them to upload a photo of their garden that is in need of a makeover to go into the draw to win a free backyard design by the Your Home and Garden landscape designer, as well as $10,000 to go towards your "Perfect Plot".

Marker Studio’s brief was to deliver the Westpac Perfect Plot Facebook App as a custom Tab within the main Westpac Facebook page.

What We Did

Marker Studio developed and hosted the campaign site which was included within a Facebook page. The campaign was developed on a content management system with a backend administration site providing access to the competition entry data.

In addition to the entry form, a gallery displayed photos from the entrants. The audience was able to comment on the photos in the gallery. Further engagement and awareness of the campaign was promoted with the comments integrating with Facebook and posting to the Facebook user’s Wall.

Outcomes

Westpac deemed the campaign to have been a great success. The ease of entry and ability to upload photos to enter was well received. The photo gallery encouraged further engagement encouraging the audience to view photos from all other entries and post comments. The ability to monitor submissions, moderate entries, and update content in real time via the administration interface made the campaign extremely easy to manage.
